Alfred Park is also famously known as Chandrashekhar Azad Park and Company Bagh. It is the biggest park of Allahabad just adjacent to Allahabad Museum. It contains a public library, various buildings, G.N. Jha research institute and many more things to see.

All Saints Cathedral (Patthar Girjaghar)

This is the famous cathedral having Gothic style buildings designed by Sir William Emerson. It is covered with white stone and red stone dressing. Visitors definitely impressed by the beauty of this cathedral having an intricate inlay and mosaic work.

Allahabad fort

The famous fort of Allahabad built by emperor Ashoka on the bank of river Yamuna. Allahabad Museum

It is located near the Chandra Shekhar Azad Park. It has a rich collection of art, sculpture especially of the Gupta era, Paintings of Nicolas Roerich, Rajasthani miniatures, terracotta figurines and stone sculptures of the second century to the modern century.

Allahabad university

This university is one of the famous and oldest universities of India. It is also known as "Oxford Of the East" because of its sprawling campus, fine buildings having architectural styles of Islamic and Victorian religion.

Anand Bhawan

It is an ancestral home of the Nehru family turned into a museum. The museum contains the memorabilia of the Nehru family. Many significant decisions related to freedom struggle took place here.

Ashoka Pillar

This giant pillar in Allahabad dating back to 232 B.C. is renowned as an Ashoka Pillar as it was made by Ashoka. It is 10.6 meters in height. Several edicts are encrypted on this pillar that remembers his accession to the throne.

Patalpuri Temple and Akshya Vat

Patalpuri Temple is an underground temple established inside the Allahabad fort. It is famous as once Lord Rama worshipped here, and also visited by the famous Chinese traveler Hiuen Tsang. Akshya Vat-the immortal tree is also located inside the temple. It is one of the sacred trees of India and much visited by the tourists.


Hanuman Temple

It is situated near the Sangam. This temple is unique in the world as the supine image of Hanuman is placed in it. This is the only temple in India having Hanuman in its reclining posture. When Ganga breaches, then this temple totally submerged in it. Even though it is a small temple, many hundreds of devotees thronged here every day.
