Agra, a city in the Uttar Pradesh state of India is amost famous place among the world for it is this city that has the seventh wonder of the world- Taj Mahal.

The city has two sites which people vouch to see, the Agra Fort and The Taj Mahal, speciafically Taj, because it's the epitome of love, a tomb which was constructed by the King Shah Jehan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.Made of white marble, and constructed between 1631 and 1648, this means crown palace.

Tourist Places

Taj Mahal :- One of the most beautiful and archaeologically restored tombs in the world, it is a masterpiece of Indian Muslim architecture. The Taj is mostly crowded, since a lot of countrymen and foreigners visit it everyday. One must try seeing The Taj atleast twice in one day to get the full effect of the building, The Taj also looks great during nights.

Agra fort :-, the fort which is similar to the Redfort of Delhi, but the only difference is that it has been preserved better. The fort has been made of red sandstone, and was made at the same time as the Humayun's Tomb of Delhi.

Agra is also rich in garden, Swami Bagh is the 'samadhi' of Radha Swami and has marble work to it. Ram Bagh, a one of the first Mughal gardens built by the Mughal emperor Babar.

Mehtab bagh A bagh close to the Taj Mahal is nice and pleasing sight for the visitor. Agra also rich when it comes to temples, Balkeshwar, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and kailash temple another lord Shiva temple. Mankameshwar Temple and teh Prithvinath Temple are another few temples. Agra is very much reachable through the planes, trains and buses or even cars.

Agra has other few attractions as well, like the Sikandra, where the tomb of Akbar lies. Started by Akbar, the tomb was completed by his son Jehangir. Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, Empress Nur Jehan constructed Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, also known as Baby Taj, dedicated to her father, Ghias-ud-Din Beg, Chief Minister of Emperor Jahangir. Mariam's Tomb, Built by jehangir in the memory of his mother, Mariam Zammani, the grave is made out of White marble. Jama Masjid, A large mosque dedicated to Princess Jahanare Begum, this is noticed for its missing minarets and tomb. Taj Mahotsav, is a festival which happens at Shilpgram every year in the month of February. A festival of arts, culture and craft is very famous.

Agra sells many stone work products from jewellery to small boxes to some decorative work and also mini symbols of Taj. Agra is a certain place good with leather goods; Sadar Bazaar here sells very nice leather stuff and also cheap food.
