This is the tallest waterfall of this region and third highest waterfall in India. Situated near the village of Sangriang it is formed by the confluence of two streams of Kynshi River. It is the most attractive tourist place of Meghalaya.
Fourth longest waterfall in the world, Nohkalikai waterfall has a height of 1100 feet. The sight of this waterfall is truly bewitching and hauntingly beautiful. There is an interesting and tragic legend of a grief stricken mother associated with it.
Sweet Falls is also known as “Weitden” amongst the locals. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Shillong and is situated close to the Happy Valley.
Nohsngithiang Falls is a seven-segmented waterfall. It is situated at Mawsmai village and also famous as Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls. This is the right place to enjoy a relaxed in the lap of beautiful natural surroundings and walk in the freshness of the land.
Spread Eagle Falls
It is the most famous waterfall of Shillong and locally famous as Sati falls or Umkaliar. This sparkling waterfall is looks like an eagle with wings spread and truly justify its name. A huge pool is formed when the white bubbly water is cascaded from the height.
